A Celebration of Stephen King at the Music Box Theatre
On Friday, October 16th, Consequence of Sound and The Music Box Theatre cordially invite you to attend “A Celebration of Stephen King”, a twisted, surreal prom night that culminates with a special midnight screening of Brian De Palma’s iconic 1976 classic, Carrie.
Ka is a wheel and that wheel will take us back to Eden High School, May 27th, 1979: The Black Prom.
All prospective students are asked to arrive around 10:30 p.m. at The Music Box Lounge, where themed art work, spinning vinyls, baked goods, photo opportunities, and drink specials will celebrate King’s most iconic works in addition to the 1979 graduating class of Eden High.
Be sure to dress your ’70s best, though. You wouldn’t want to be mistaken for a time traveler. After all, Carrie White isn’t the only King creation you need to worry about bumping into at the punch bowl. Randall Flagg, Jack Torrance, Pennywise … they’ll all be floating around.
